Bundessport- und Freizeitzentrum KitzsteinhornLocated directly in a glacier ski area at 2,500 metres above sea level, the Bundessport- und Freizeitzentrum Kitzsteinhorn is right at the ski slopes. This hotel and training centre features a fitness room, a cosy cafeteria, a ski equipment room, ski-grooming facilities, a lecture room, a sauna (at an additional cost), a renovated gym and a ping pong room. The leisure room offers billiard, speed hockey, darts, tabletop football and an Internet corner. The Bundessport- und Freizeitzentrum (Federal Sports and Leisure Centre) is located high up in the mountains at the heart of the Kitzsteinhorn ski area, and is only reachable by cable car. It aims to give you a totally stress-free holiday, where you will not need a car or ski bus to reach the resort, allowing you to sleep longer and still be first on the lift. Travel information

From the Zell am See train station there are hourly buses to the parking area of the Kaprun cable car. The new Gletscherjet 1 and 2 cable cars take you to the mountain station, which is in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. Hours of operation: 08:00 to 16:30. Please note that the last ascent is at 16:00.

Hotel policies

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 90 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled up to 30 days before date of arrival, 50 percent of all nights will be charged.  If cancelled up to 14 days before date of arrival, the total price of the reservation will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

50 percent of the total amount will be charged on the day of booking and is non-refundable. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

VAT is included.  Service charge is included.  EUR 1.10 city/tourist tax per person per night is not included. 

Meal Plan

Full board is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 3 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children from 4 to 6 years are charged EUR 20.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 1.  There is no capacity for cots in the room.
