Formerly
two Victorian Mansions, The Colonnade is a grand home in every detail.
Individually designed guest rooms and suites feature sumptuous fabrics and
a wealth of antiques, creating an intimate atmosphere of elegant luxury.
Perfectly restored from its former
Victorian elegance, The Colonnade provides the very best of London living.
Both a tonic for the weary business traveler and an oasis in the city,
this Town House allows guests the intimacy of a private residence with the
five star service they deserve.
Each of the 43 guest rooms have been
individually designed to take advantage of the building's architectural
features and is adorned with rich fabrics and antiques, creating the
feeling of an elegant, luxurious private home.
The
Colonnade's beautiful suites, some of which are on split levels, each have
a story to tell; the JFK Suite boasts the bed made for his visit in 1962
and The Freud Suite celebrates his stay at the hotel in 1938.
Located in Northwest London's Little
Venice, The Colonnade resides in a beautiful, quiet residential
neighborhood. Just minutes from Paddington Station, the hotel provides
easy access to the Heathrow Express, the London Underground, and Lord's
Cricket Ground.
The area is called Little Venice because of
Regents Canal, a beautiful waterway running through the neighborhood.
When staying at The Colonnade, take the time to stroll along the Tow Path
or ride a Narrow Boat and you'll find yourself experiencing Venice in
London.
Built in 1865, The Colonnade was originally
a private residence. The reception room still has the Wedgewood fireplace
installed in the early 20th century and the hotel features an art deco
lift from the 1920s- a remnant of the days when the building was a
hospital.
