There is a beautiful 2-floor lobby bar at hotel Boliari. Its comfortable sofas and the unique architecture create a preferable atmosphere and a place to visit for the tourists of Veliko Tarnovo. Close to the hotel there are several nice restaurants and we recommend that you visit the beautiful traditional Bulgarian restaurant Boliarska Kashta in Arbanassi.

Travel information

- Arriving by car from the city centre drive 1km on the main road toward the fortress Tzarevetz. - The hotel is located 150 metres before reaching the fortress Tzarevetz, there is a sign pointing 20 metres on your right hand side. Arriving by car from North - From Ruse, Bucharest, once you enter the city and reach the first major crossroad turn left and drive 100metres - There is a sign pointing 20 metres on your right hand side. - From any part of the city you can take a taxi and you will reach Hotel Boliari at a cost no greater than EUR 5.

Area information

The hotel is located only 200m away from traditionally the most famous marketplace of Veliko Tarnovo, the Samovodska Charshiya, where many craftsmen work the way they worked hundreds of years ago. The technologies and tools for production have not changed during the years. There you will find coppersmiths, blacksmiths, potters, artists, confectioners and their products that they sell in their shops. Hotel Boliari is located only 4km from the centre of the famous architectural reserve of Arbanassi and 1.5km from the Veliko Tarnovo University. The hotel also organizes horse riding tourism, bicycle tours, sightseeing tours – tours around the town of Veliko Tarnovo and the village of Arbanassi, visiting the “Sound and Light” spectacle on the hill of Tzarevetz, tours and walks to the monasteries in the vicinity.

All children are welcome.  All children under 10 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 10 years are charged EUR 10.00 per night and person for extra beds.  All older children or adults are charged EUR 10.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Baby cots are not available.  Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 1.
