Airport Transfer - 24 hours per day - needs to be reserved in advance:
You should book an airport transfer in advance in case you don't want to wait for other passengers to be taken to their destinations before you, and would prefer to have a more personal transportation service on reasonable prices. This way your private English speaking driver will be waiting for you with a sign at the information desk (in case your flight arrives late you won't have to announce anybody - the company keeps in touch with the airport and knows about delays and changes), and will take you directly to your hotel as soon as possible.
Public Transport from Airport:
Attention! By public transport from the Budapest Airport the ride is 1-1,5 hours! Nevertheless you choose this means of transport, take BKV plus Airport bus at the airport. Get off at the terminus (Kőbánya-Kispest). Change to the Metro (it starts only in one direction) and get off at the 9th stop (Ferenciek tere). Coming up from the subway take the steps on your left. The bus stop is 20m walk straight ahead, beside a church. Take bus no.8 or 112. The hotel is right at the 3rd stop (Mészáros u.).
By car from the direction of motorways M1/M7 (Vienna):
Follow the signs towards the city centre/Erzsébet híd. You'll reach and pass through a flyover with a right curve. On the flyover you'll see the big building of Hotel Novotel on the left hand side. Hotel Charles is about 500m from here on the left hand side of the road. Since it is forbidden to turn left on the road leading to us you'll have to make a curve by turning to the right on the corner after Hotel Bara (cca.100m after the flyover) and follow the blue parking signs of Hotel Charles. They will lead you to the Hotel.
By car from the direction of motorway M3:
Follow the signs towards the city centre. You'll reach and pass through a flyover. Drive straight through the City Park. After coming round a big square (Hősök tere – Heroes Square) on the right you'll have to take another right turn to continue your way straight ahead on a wide street (Andrássy út). This road will lead straight to the Chain Bridge (Lánchíd) and across the Danube. Drive straight through the Tunnel. Straight about 500m after the tunnel you'll see a petrol station (MOL). Here take a turn to the left. Straight ahead, at the end of this street you'll find the Hotel on the corner (Mészáros u.- Hegyalja út).
By car from the direction of motorway no. M5 (E75):
Follow the signs towards the city centre. At the end of the road turn to the right towards Árpád Bridge. After 500 meters turn to the left beside Stadium FTC. Follow signs towards the city centre. Passing by Hotel Korona you'll reach and cross the Danube on Erzsébet (Elizabeth) Bridge. You'll find us about 600m after the bridge on the right hand side on the road leading to motorways M1/M7.
From the Déli (South) Railway Station:
Take tram no.61 in the direction Móricz Zs. Tér. Get off at the 4th stop (Hegyalja út), where you'll see Hotel Novotel on the right hand side. Change to bus no.8 or 112 (the stop is beside restaurant Arany Híd) and get off at the first stop.
From the Nyugati (West) Railway Station:
Take the Metro in the direction Kőbánya-Kispest. Get off a the 3rd stop (Ferenciek tere). Coming up from the subway take the steps on your left. The bus stop is 20m walk straight ahead, beside a church. Take bus no.8 or 112. The hotel is right at the 3rd stop (Mészáros u.).
From the Keleti (East) Railway Station:
Take bus no.78 at the station (at the terminus of bus 78 by the Pizza Hut Restaurant). The bus passes through the Elizabeth Bridge (Erzsébet híd). Get off at the 5th stop after the bridge (Zsolt u.), which is the next stop after the stop at a petrol station MOL. Walking 200m straight ahead in Mészáros street you'll find the hotel on the corner.
