Offering a bill of fare centred on modern, fresh and home-made cuisine with an eclectic twist only using the most excellent ingredients and all locally sourced. The quality of the menus ensure Liberty Tree maintains their commitment to excellence in food and service. Corries Bar and Bistro is a favourite with locals and residents alike. Visitors to this bar will experience and savour an atmosphere made tangible by its spacious and restful design, aroma of fresh cuisine and weekend music reaching the perfect ambience. Corries Bar and Bitsro offers an excellent choice of food, drink, friendly service and a variety of entertainment. We have an extensive bar food menu boasting the very best in traditional Irish food and drink available throughout the day as well as a tasty carvery lunch served 7 days a week.

The Hotel is located beside The Dome which comprises of 2,780 sq metres of indoor children's entertainment including 12 bowling lanes. Also close by is the newly opened retail centre.

Travel information

The hotel is located on the outskirts of Carlow town on the N80 road to Portlaoise. By Car: - From Dublin, take the N80 turn-off to Portlaoise at the Dr Cullen Roundabout near the Braun Factory. - From the South, come through Carlow town to the Dr Cullen Roundabout at the Braun Factory and take the 1st exit (N80 Portlaoise Road). - From the West (towards Portlaoise and Castlecomer), follow the N80 road signposted for Rosslare. The hotel is on the right-hand side of this road as you approach Carlow. Parking: Upon entering the hotel grounds, follow the directional signs for reception (one way system). There is a 2 storey car park at the main hotel entrance. Disabled access parking is located at the back entrance of the hotel.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

13.5 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Full English breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 3 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All children from 3 to 12 years are charged EUR 25 per night per person when using existing bedding.  Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1.  Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 1.
