The 18-hole championship course at Connemara Golf Club is a 15-minute drive away, while the hotel has a snooker table, an all-weather tennis court and a croquet lawn. Clay-pigeon shooting can be arranged on request.

Area information

From the idyllic setting of the Rock Glen, you can explore the sandy beaches at Mannin Bay or Ballyconneely. Take a trip to nearby Roundstone village, passing the historic landing site of Alcock and Brown and, nearer the village itself, beautiful Dog's Bay. Connemara is perfect for hill walking, as well as for river, lake and sea-fishing. If you want to go pony-trekking (Connemara is famous for its ponies), the hotel can arrange it for you.

Travel information

By Car From Clifden: - Take the Ballyconneely/Roundstone road for a mile, then turn right at the Connemara Pottery crossroads. The hotel is half a mile from here, and well signposted.

If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.
