Cliff paths lead around the coastline, through Howth village and its ruined abbey, and past Baily Lighthouse. Howth's pubs, fine food and charming character make it a pleasant outing from Dublin. The hotel is situated in Howth Castle Demesne, home to the famous Rhododendron Gardens which are a spectacular sight when in flower during late April, May and June.

Deer Park has its own restaurant offering a frequently changing menu complemented by an extensive wine list. The menu choice includes fresh fish from the local Howth harbour. Our Bistro serves light snacks throughout the day and bar food is also available in our main bar which has magnificent views over the golf courses and Dublin Bay.

Additional Costs: Spa Treatments are available at an extra cost and should be booked in advance to avoid disappointment. Residents may reserve tee-off times for golf in advance.

Area information

Deer Park is just 9 miles from Dublin city centre and about 20 minutes from Dublin airport. From the hotel, a walk of approximately 15 to 20 minutes will take you into the picturesque fishing village of Howth, where you will find numerous restaurants and pubs. You can watch the fishermen landing their catch and watch as the resident seal family are fed each day. During the summer months boat trips are available to nearby Ireland's Eye. On Sunday mornings a trip to the local market is very worthwhile. There are many lovely walks which one can take around the peninsula.

Travel information

By Car: - Follow the M1 to Coolock. - Turn left and head towards the seafront for about 3 miles. - When you come to the front road, turn left and head out towards Howth. - Go straight through Sutton Cross and head towards Howth Dart Station. - Deer Park is clearly marked from there.

If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

21.5 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is not applicable.

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All older children or adults are charged EUR 25.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
