Travel information

The drive from Dublin to Galway is 200 km and will take approximately 2.5 hours. From Dublin take the N4 to the West and Galway. The N4 will become the M4 which you will follow. Leave the M4 at Junction 11 which to join the M6 signposted for Galway. AT the end of the M6 bear left and follow the signs to Docks and Galway City East. Once on the Dual Carriageway you need to move to the right hand lane. At the “Martin” roundabout you need to take the third exit again signposted Docks and Merlin Park. Go straight through 3 sets of lights (past Galway Crystal) and at the Skerritt take go straight (2nd exit past GMIT), then straight through two sets of lights and Carlton Hotel Galway City is located on your right.

Hotel policies

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

13.5 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Breakfast costs EUR 13.50 per person per night.  Breakfast costs EUR 6 per night per child under 6 years.  Dinner costs EUR 20 per person per night. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 3 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  There is no capacity for extra beds/cots in the room.
