Garbally Restaurant is open for breakfast from 07:30 to 10:30 and again each evening for full table d'hote dinner from 19:00 to 21:30. The Coffee Dock is open from 07:30 to 22:00 and offers a full range of soups, sandwiches, snacks and an all day buffet and luncheon carvery.

We are located on the main street in the market town of Ballinasloe, just a 40-minute drive from Galway city and 90 miles from Dublin city centre.

Area information

The town is now principally recognised for the Great October Fair. This fair has been conducted since the early 18th century.] The name Ballinasloe means Mouth of the Ford of the Hostings. A village therefore developed near the fords and close to 2 castles which were built to control the fords. The area is rich in heritage and history also, from Clonmacnoise, Europe's most ancient monastic university, to Kilconnell's 14th century Franciscan Abbey, to the site of the 1691 Battle of Aughrim. While for the kids, there's the Glendeer Pet Farm just a short drive away.

If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.

Meal Plan

Continental breakfast is not included and costs EUR 8.00 per person.  Full English breakfast is not included and costs EUR 10.00 per person. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 3 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  There is no capacity for extra beds in the room.  Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1.
