BalthostelBalthostel is new high class hostel located in the center of Riga - corner of Merkela Street and Marijas Street. It's the nearest hostel to The Train Station and Origo shopping center. The Old Town is just a few minutes walk away! Balthostel has a capacity of 75 beds and offers accommodation suitable for all age groups in a relaxed and international atmosphere. We are the only hostel in the center that can easily be accessed with any kind of transport or by foot. And the old town is just a few minutes walk away! There are also great communication links. You can reach any part of the city using city transport. Internet café with 24h access! McDonaldalds restaurant on the ground floor! To find us is very easy! Balthostel is opposite to the Train Station, Origo and Stockmann shopping centers. The International Bus station is 5 minutes walk away. Riga airport is about 10km from Riga center, the regular bus route N22 leaves every 20-25 minutes

The main tourist/people attractions near the hotel (monuments, museums, restaurants, night clubs): Latvian National Opera, Dome Cathederal, Great and Small Guild, House of Blackheads, Riga castle, St. Peter`s Church, Freedom Monument; many bars/restaraunts, night clubs, museums.

Hotel policies

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

21 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

This hotel has no meal services. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 6 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  There is no capacity for extra beds/cots in the room.
