Rooms

All rooms are furnished in a simple but comfortable way. Beds are 210 cm long (suitable for taller fellows as well :) ) Important: all our rooms are non-smoking rooms - smoking is not allowed in our rooms! We apologise for inconveniences this might cause, however there are no exceptions to this rule. The rooms have a TV with satellite channels including news (BBC, CNN, Euronews), cartoon channels and movie channels. Most of our rooms have small refrigerators for your convenience.

Food & Beverages

Hot buffet breakfast served Monday-Friday from 7:30 - 10:00. Saturday/Sunday breakfast time is from 8:00 - 11:00. For early travelers take away breakfast can be arranged or coffee/tea and sandwich can be served before 7:00 in the morning. Cafe and bar is opened from 11:00am - 9:00pm. Snacks, soft drinks and hot drinks can be served at any time - reception should be contacted. Catering for conferences, groups and special events available - please contact manager in advance for details.

Wireless internet is available in the entire hotel and is free of charge.

Area information

Hotel "Skanste" is located right by Arena Riga - the new multifunctional sports and entertainment center. Arena Riga is the main site for 2006. Ice Hockey World Championship! Other facilities in the area are: Olympic Sports Center, Skonto Exibition Hall and other. The Old Town (historical part of Riga) is 5 minutes away by car from hotel (if no traffic jams on streets) or abot 25 minutes of rather slow walking (we will show you the most scenic ways to get to old town - walking through Jugendstile Riga!) The Old Town has it all - restaurants, entertainment, museums, concerts!

Hotel policies

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

21 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 6 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All older children or adults are charged EUR 10.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
