In historical times, the Casa da Calçada - Relais & Châteaux welcomed nobles and well-known personalities linked to the 1st Republic (1910-1926). Travel information

In order to arrive at Casa da Calçada, from Porto you should take the Highway A4 (North) and exit at Amarante East. Subsequently you should take a right turn in the direction of Amarante Centre and 200 meters later, take a left turn in the direction of the nqatural Park. Continue straight ahead and you will find the entrance to Casa da Calçada on your right, in front of Amarante's old bridge.

Hotel policies

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later, the first night will be charged.  In case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

6 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children from 3 to 5 years stay free of charge for extra beds.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All children from 6 to 10 years are charged EUR 25 per night per person for extra beds.  All older children or adults are charged EUR 50 per night per person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
