Casa de RequeixoThe Casa de Requeixo is a fine example of the 16th country nobleman house, which was expanded in the next century. Since the beginning, the house belongs to the Vieira e Brito family. The Casa de Requeixo and its surrounding land has always belonged to the same family and today is the property of the Barons of S. Roque. The house is located 19 km from Braga and 20 km from Guimarães. The National Park of Gerês, with its spectacular natural scenery offering ample opportunity for walks and picnics is only 18 km away.

In the main house, the Casa de Requeixo offers 4 bedrooms with bathroom, of which 3 are double rooms and one is a twin room. Our visitors also have at their disposable a living room with an open fireplace. We also offer 2 one-bedroom flats fully equipped for those visitors who prefer more privacy.

Area information

Póvoa de Lanhoso is very rich in monuments. We highlight the castle of Lanhoso and the near by remains of an old village. There are also significant examples of religious art and construction like the monastery of Fontarcada.

Travel information

Arriving to Braga, take the national road 103, direction to Chaves. After around 20 km without any change of direction, there is a sign saying FRADES. A few meters after, turn to the right and take a small road. After the centre of the village, on the left side, there is a big red gate with a sign saying “Casa de Requeixo”.

If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 5 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All older children or adults are charged EUR 10.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 2.
