In the new restaurant IL DERBY you can taste Mediterranean and International flavours carefully selected by our Chef. The gastronomic offer is enhanced by tasty seasonal specialities, daily menus, culinary weeks, as well as variety of home-made desserts. The refined dining room LA PERLA, in a typical English style, can be reserved for romantic dinners or to celebrate a special event, with a capacity of 60 people. Opening hours: Monday to Saturday open from 12 pm to 2 pm and from 7 pm to 10pm, closed on Sunday (alternative restaurants are available at the reception) The DERBY PUB & MUSIC is the best place for a drink or a fast lunch. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday there is piano bar music. The Hotel proposes different places to spend time, as IL DERBY PUB & MUSIC, with its reading and music zone, the veranda, the terrace as well as the garden. Opening hours: Il Derby Pub & Music is open Monday to Saturday open from 10.30 am to 12 am and from 7 pm to 10pm, closed on Sunday

5 km from city centre of Lugano, close to the lake, to the Chocolate and the Hermann Hesse Museum. 1 hour from Milan and only 30 minutes from a number of shopping centres and from Castles of Bellinzona (UNESCO World heritage). There are 4 panoramic mountains within 10 km, and natural paths and sport activities in the surrounding area.

Hotel policies

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

VAT is included.  Service charge is included.  CHF 3.15 city/tourist tax per person per night is not included. 

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 6 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All older children or adults are charged CHF 80.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 2.
