Our hotel is situated in the middle of the old town of Ascona, just a few metres away from the lake. Here you can enjoy walking on the lake promenade, shopping in the numerous small boutiques in the old town of Ascona or a number of sporting activities. Within 5 minutes walk you will also find the bus station. From there you have connections to several different places of interest. Our sauna is ideal to relax after an adventurous day.

Parking bays and a local multi-storey car park are nearby. ( approx. 4 min on foot ). We can offer to you for the duration of your stay parking cards for CHF 18, - - per day for the local multi-storey car park "Autosilo comunale" . Please pick up the cards at the reception.

The Hotel Garni Golf is situated in the middle of the old town of Ascona. Ascona is a beautiful small village, situated near the delta of the Maggia river, on the shores of a splendid and sunny bay. This unique position, together with its surrounded mountains and valleys, its Mediterranean climate, and its tourist tradition, make Ascona a famous holiday resort.

Travel information

- Take Highway A2/E35 towards Bellinzona. - Exit at Bellinzona Sud, take main road direction Locarno/Ascona - After the tunnel continue in direction to Ascona. - Once in town you drive directly to the lake passing through the traffic free zone. - To unload luggage it's allowed for hotel guests to drive through this zone of Ascona. Just stop in front of the hotel Mövenpick and walk the 20 metres up to our hotel which is located in the street "Vicolo Sacchetti". By Train: Take your ticket to Locarno, then you take the bus 31 from Locarno to Ascona posta. Then you walk till the police station and turn right and following Via B. Berno. You will find the hotel after a 2 minute walk.

Hotel policies

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first three nights will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

3.6 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is included. 

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 5 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All older children or adults are charged CHF 45 per night per person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 1.  Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 2.
