Basel has a central location and a first-class transport connections. The town is one of the most important exhibition and congress cities in Europe. You can also experience a journey through history in the Old Town of Basel. It is one of the best maintained and most beautiful old towns in Europe.
There is also lots of culture to enjoy as there is more than thirty museums for you to visit. These include the world renowned Fondation Beyeler to the Tinguely Museum, the Kunstmuseum Basel (Museum of Fine Arts), the
Schaulager and the Doll House Museum.
Many contemporary buildings by well known architects, such as Herzog & de Meuron, Mario Botta, Renzo Piano, Frank O. Gehry, Richard Meier, Burckhardt+Partner and others can be seen throughout the town. All of this create a mix of the traditional and the modern.
