Hotel Balegra

The recently renovated, family-run 3-star-hotel Balegra is situated on the outer ring of Basel. By public transport it is only 8 minutes from the railway station "Basel SBB" (tram 8), 15 minutes from downtown (tram 8) and about 15 minutes from the airport (bus 50 / 36). The next bus stop (bus 36) is situated just in front of the hotel. All our rooms are equipped with direct-dial telephones (incoming and outgoing), cable-TV with video, safes, WiFi internet access and hair-dryers. Extra beds and baby cots are available upon request. Our breakfast-room has recently been reconstruced. We also have a charming restaurant with a nice terrace where we serve mediterranean specialities. Important: The mobility-ticket (for free use of public transports in Basel during your stay) is included in the room-rate. The parking lot is free of charge for our guests. Your well-being is our passion!

Hotel policies

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged.

VAT and city/tourist taxes

3.6 % VAT is included. Service charge is not applicable. CHF 3.20 city/tourist tax per person per night is not included.

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate.

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome. All children under 3 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots. There is no capacity for extra beds in the room. Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1.
