The hotel has three stars. The reception is open 24 hours a day. The hotel offers an internet corner (extra charges), a laundry service (extra charges) and a safe (at the reception). Check-in is available from 16.00 o'clock. . You need to check out before 11.00 o'clock. Parking There are 120 parking spaces (free of charge) beside the hotel and 6 parking spaces for buses (extra charges) in the village.

Travel information

Car / Coach Motorway A2 (Basel - Gotthard), take exit Stans-Süd and follow the all-year open main road 20 km to Engelberg, valley station and parking lots of Titlis Aerial Cableways at the village entrance on the right. 1,5 hours from Zurich, Berne and Basel, 30 minutes from Lucerne. Train International rail connections to Zurich and Lucerne. From Lucerne with the Lucerne-Stans-Engelberg-Train within one hour to Engelberg. Zurich - Lucerne (45 minutes) hourly connections. Lucerne - Engelberg 1 hour by train (leaving every hour from Lucerne and from Engelberg).

Area information

Engelberg – welcome to heaven, welcome to the summer and winter holiday paradise at 1050 metres above sea level. The village radiates the special charm of the Benedictine monastery, the wonderfully fresh countryside and an impressive mountain panorama. Cable cars make off with you in all directions, while good restaurants, mountain huts and hotels invite you to linger. Terrace cable car Our historic Terrace cable car runs from the village up to the Hotel Terrace in 3 minutes (free of charge). Ski shuttle bus The ski shuttle bus will take you (free of charge) from the train station to the Titlis Valley Station (within walking distance from Hotel Terrace, approx. 20 minutes).

Hotel policies

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later, the first night will be charged.  In case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

3.6 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  CHF 3.20 city/tourist tax per person per night is included. 

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 6 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  There is no capacity for extra beds/cots in the room.
