Cancellation policy

Other (specified below) Reservations must be cancelled 2 days in advance of your arrival date. In the event of a no show or a cancellation in breach of this policy, the cost of the entire reservation will be charged. The hotel reserves the right to pre-authorise credit cards prior to arrival.

Child policy

Minotel offers free accommodation and breakfast for 1 child under 12 years old when sharing a room with 2 adults; other meals are to be paid at the hotel directly. In such a case, the client shall book a double or twin room and add a comment in the "comment box" for an extra bed for a child under 12, and not book a triple room. Two children under 12 travelling with adults (no matter if the adults are staying in a single, double or triple room) will be accommodated in a twin room and pay the price of a double room for single occupancy.

All reservations must be guaranteed with a major credit card. Rates are per room per night including continental breakfast and vat (and local taxes) at the current rate. Full payment will be taken by Minotel, using your selected payment, within 24 hours of booking. Only extra charges must be paid prior to departure from the Hotel. Cancellations: please cancel your reservation online. If your reservation is cancelled in line with Minotel policy - payment will be returned within 5 working days. To amend your reservation please cancel and rebook. Cancellation charges apply. To extend your stay, simply make a new booking for the additional night(s). Children under 12 years old stay free on the basis of one child per room sharing with two adult/s. Cots are available free of charge, subject to availability. Please enter requests for extra childbeds and/or cots, noting the age of the child, in the comments box when booking. Welcome to Engelberg in the heart of central Switzerland. Easily reached from the N2 motorway or by train from Lucerne. Our Hotel is situated in the carfree town centre of Engelberg, approx. 5 minutes by foot from the railway station. Arrival by car is possible. Limited parking slots on request (paying), located at approx. 200 m from the hotel. Car: Via A2 Basel-Lucern-Gotthard Motorway exit Lucern "Stans- Süd", then approx. 20 km til Engelberg. Train: The hotel is reachable from the Lucern main railway station in approx. 50 minutes. Airport: Closest airport is in Zürich, approx. 100 km.
