Area information

The village is characterized by its picturesque centre, the Benedictine monastery and scenic natural surroundings dominated by the impressive mountain panorama. In summer you can explore the region on more than 360 km of hiking trails and in winter 82 km of ski runs and 14 lifts and cable cars provide for perfect skiing pleasure in the Titlis-Jochpass and Brunni region. Lucerne is only 35 km away from Engelberg and is a great place for shopping and cultural events.

Hotel policies

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 15 days before date of arrival, 30 percent of all nights will be charged.  If cancelled up to 8 days before date of arrival, 50 percent of all nights will be charged.  If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, 80 percent of the first night will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

3.6 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  CHF 3.20 city/tourist tax per person per night is not included. 

Meal Plan

Breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All children under 6 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children from 6 to 12 years are charged 50 % of the room stay per night per person for extra beds.  All children from 12 to 15 years are charged 70 % of the room stay per night per person for extra beds.  All older children or adults are charged 100 % of the room stay per night per person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
