The hotel restaurant serves traditional Swiss cuisine, seasonal specials and the speciality of the house - "Chasseral sirloin steak". The restaurant is closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Breakfast will still be served on these days.

Area information

For walkers, horse riders, and in winter for cross-country skiers, the region offers a rich range of possibilities. Facilities for tennis and bathing are also at hand, and for hang-gliding and paragliding enthusiasts the Chasseral summit is a superb take-off point.

Travel information

By Car: - Leave Basel on the A2 motorway. - At Härkingen take exit 45 to join the A1 (in the direction of Lausanne Bern). - At Leuterbach take exit 41 (in the direction of Lausanne, Interlaken, Berne) to join the A5. - At exit 27/28 take Biel Ost and follow the A16 to the exit for Frinviliers. - From here follow the signs for Orvin. By Public Transport: Take an intercity train to Biel/Bienne, followed by a regional train to La Neuveville and then the postal bus Nods.

Hotel policies

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

3.6 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is included. 

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 5 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All older children or adults are charged CHF 40 per night per person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 2.  Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1.
