The car-free resort of Zermatt is located at an altitude of 1620 meters in the south-west of Switzerland. This idyllic village in the Matter Valley nestles amongst fabulous scenery of mountains and glaciers and offers visitors a fantastic panorama of 33 four-thousand-metre peaks. Zermatt is a car-free resort. Arrival by car: Park at Täsch . On request, the hotel reserves a parking space at the car park 'Fredy' in Täsch (chf 10, per day). You can continue your journey to Zermatt either by taxi or by train (departure every 20 minutes). Arrival by train: There are direct train connections in Brig and Visp to the modern narrow-gauge Matterhorn Gotthard railway, which arrives in Zermatt after a 90-minute journey through the romantic, rugged Vispa Valley. At Zermatt train station: You can call the hotel (telephone free of charge) which organises the transfer with an 'electro taxi' at a price of chf 5, per person or you can make a 10-minute walk to the hotel.
