The Ambassador Hotel has a wonderful restaurant on the top floor with a marvelous view over the Marmara Sea, the Asian side of Istanbul and the Sultanahmet Square with its Blue Mosque and St. Sophia. Traditional Turkish Cuisine will be served. Drinks are served 24 hours for guests and visitors.

Travel information

From Ataturk Airport- When you leave the airport, look for the Sirkeci sign and turn right. Drive approximately 1km then follow the seaside road for 12 kms. Look for a Sultanahmet sign, turn left and drive 500 meters turn right. Follow the road until tram way. On the first traffic light turn left. Take the next street on the left site. After that take the next street on the left site again until you see the Ambassador Hotel sign. You may also take the metro from the Ataturk Airport to Zeytinburnu (last station) and from there the tram directly to Sultanahmet. An Ambassador Hotel sign will guide you the last 200 meter.

Area information

When you come out of the hotel you will feel the culture of Byzantine Empire. The hotel is within walking distance to Byzantine and Ottoman Monuments, such as St. Sophia, Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern, Topkapi Palace and Grand Bazaar. Also other Istanbul attractions as the Cembelitas Hamami (Turkish Bath) and the Spice Market - are only a few minutes walk from us. Hotel policies

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled or modified later, the total price of the reservation will be charged.  In case of no-show, the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

8 % VAT is included.  Service charge is included.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 5 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All older children or adults are charged EUR 15 per night per person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
