Built from Abingdon Abbey's old corn mill, located on an island on the Thames, the Upper Reaches Hotel is ideal for visits to the 16th Century Abingdon Abbey, Blenheim Palace or the universities of Oxford - or simply fish from the hotel's grounds.
Some excellent fishing is available either on the Thames or the Millstream, which features a rather large Pike. The Millstream is also a great area for viewing the resident Kingfisher and other waterfowl.
During the summer season, there is nothing better than travelling down the river on a Salter Brothers Boat to Abingdon from Oxford and staying in the hotel, which is located opposite the landing stage.
