Aldeburgh's oldest hotel situated opposite the beach. Restaurant 1563, named after the year the hotel was built, with its fine oak panelled walls and a roaring log fire in the winter, offers elegant and informal dining. Local seafood dishes are a speciality together with traditional Sunday roast lunches. For a lighter bite, try the bar. All dishes are freshly prepared using the best in local produce. Open for lunch and dinner. Vegetarian dishes are available as are special dietary dishes by prior arrangement. A wide range of specially selected wines from local brewers Adnams. Non-smoking restaurant, seating for 80 guests. Dress code: Smart casual (no shorts).

From the A12 at Saxmundham, take the A1094 approximately eight kilometres on the seafront.
If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.
