Comfortable bed and breakfast hotel close to (15 mins walk) from Edinburgh City Centre. Great location in more residential part of town with friendly service, comfortable rooms and a good breakfast. Located close in the heart of Edinburgh, this friendly, independent two star hotel has 45 bedrooms all with small en-suite shower rooms. on the ground floor we have a breakfast room, cosy lounge and modern seating area where tea & coffee can be served and where guests have access to the Internet. With just 15 minutes walk from Edinburgh Castle, Princes Street, Kings Theatre and only two minutes walk away from the Edinburgh International Convention Centre (EICC) and Haymarket station, the Herald House offers good value and quality service. Please note that unfortunately we do not have our own car park but can direct you to one short a short walk from the hotel. Parking in Grove Street is possible but only between 6pm and 8am.

Rooms

All bedrooms are of a comfortable two star standard. We have a mix of singles with single bed, twins with two single beds in the room, doubles and family rooms. All rooms are ensuite but with a small shower room, toilet and sink. The rooms are locaetd on three floors, some facing the front of the hotel and some the back of the building.

* The Herald House is located in the Fountain Bridge area of the city which is only a two minute walk from the Edinburgh International Convention Centre and 15 minutes walk to Princes Street and Edinburgh Castle. * Haymarket sation is also just a seven minute walk from the hotel. * Check in is at 3pm and Check out 11am - although luggage can be left at any time of the day. * Due to the many restaurants in the area the hotel only offers a breakfast operation, although a small lounge area is open from 5pm serving beverages and snacks for our guests. * Please note that the Herald House is a Non-smoking hotel and no smoking is permitted in the public areas and guest bedrooms.
