Close to all major air, road and rail links, yet only 10 minutes from the city centre, we invite you to join us when next you visit Edinburgh.. All our 11 bedrooms have recently been extensively modernised and have private shower rooms as well as TV, telephone, trouser press, hair dryer, ironing facility, complimentary tea and coffee and complimentary drink from a decanter of Whisky and Sherry, The Allison House caters for business and leisure guests. Theatre Breaks, Golf Breaks and Edinburgh Weekend City Breaks are our speciality. The business traveller, too, will enjoy comfortable surroundings and easy access to the city centre and ring road. David and Anne Marie have owned the Allison House for 14 years and during this period have extensively upgraded it without destroying the elegance and history of the Georgian building.

Hotel policies

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

15 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Full English breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 5 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All children from 5 to 14 years are charged GBP 15.00 per night and person for extra beds.  All children from 15 to 17 years are charged GBP 25.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
