Lincoln House Hotel

Lincoln House HotelI would like to welcome you to the Lincoln House Hotel, located in the heart of central London, in the hub of the West Ends diverse scenes and activities, such as historical Landmarks, theatres, museums, exhibitions, designer shops and famous clubs. We are on the major airports’ bus routes. Our hotel is a delightfully hospitable establishment, built in the late 18th century, in the reign of King George III. Though recently refurbished, we have retained the elegant Georgian townhouse character and have incorporated alongside this a nautical theme décor giving the feel of a ship’s cabin. We offer en-suite rooms with fast and free wireless internet connection and our rooms feature many modern comforts, for example private mini fridges and an unlimited supply of hot drinks. Our superb English and Vegetarian breakfasts are highly praised for their quality, diversity and originality. Alternatively, we offer a Continental breakfast that is delivered to your room, available at any time from midnight until 8am, when the hot breakfast service commences. In the neighbourhood there is a large selection of traditional English pubs as well as many foreign restaurants that offer a variety of indigenous cuisine. For the past two years, we have been awarded 1st prize by the City of Westminster for our outstanding external floral display. We are recommended by many reputable guidebooks such as, Time Out, Rough Guide, Fodors, Hachette for our warm, welcoming and excellent service, central location, and competitive tariff; we are also commended by many renowned accommodation websites. Our hotel has been photographed by some fashion periodicals from France Germany Canada and Japan commending us to their readers through their ‘London’ shopping and fashion articles.

Travel information

From Heathrow Airport Here are 3 of the main ways to get to the Lincoln House Hotel from Heathrow: 1. The A2 Airbus to Marble Arch. This takes approximately 60 minutes and costs about £7. If you ask the driver, when you are near to Marble Arch, he will stop in Gloucester Place outside the hotel. If for any reason you miss the stop outside the Hotel, we advise you to get off at the next stop and take a taxi which will cost about £3.50. 2. The Underground Train (tube) from Heathrow to Marble Arch, which is the nearest tube station to the hotel, (change at Holborn for the Central Line to Marble Arch). The tube ride takes approximately one hour and costs about £4. 3. The most expensive option is by London Taxi Cab from the airport. The ride takes about 35 minutes and depending on the traffic conditions, can cost from £35 - £50. From Gatwick Airport Our advice would be to take the Gatwick Express train from the airport which runs every 15 minutes to Victoria Station in London. The ride takes 35 minutes and costs about £10. If you have heavy luggage, it is best to take a taxi from Victoria Station to the hotel at a cost of approximately £8 - £9. If you do not have a heavy suitacase, then you can take the No. 2 or No. 82 bus from outside Victoria Station to Gloucester Place. From Stansted Airport Take the train to Liverpool Street Station from Stansted (there is one every half hour). At Liverpool Street, if your luggage is heavy you can take a taxi to the hotel (cost approximately £10) or the Underground to Marble Arch and either walk or take a very short taxi ride to the hotel (about £3.50). From Luton Airport We recommend that you take the GreenLine coach No. 757 which stops in Baker Street. The Hotel is a very short walk away - please check map. BY CAR Gloucester Place is one-way from South to North. There are parking meters outside the hotel, which is useful for loading/unloading and for short stays only, as they are very expensive. There is an NCP Car Park very close to the hotel but If you are not using your car during your stay we can usually help with much cheaper parking by special arrangement (approximately £12 a day). Please ask Reception on arrival. Please do not park in areas with the sign "Residents Permit Holders Only". Parking restrictions are applicable Monday - Saturday 8.30 a.m. - 6.30 p.m. During the weekend, free parking is available in the neighbourhood only 1 minute's drive from the hotel - please ask Reception on arrival.
