The Mitre Hotel

The Mitre Hotel Built in 1815, this charming hotel is in the heart of the city centre on Exchange Square, opposite Selfridges and Harvey Nichols, just 300 metres from the MEN Arena. The Hotel is situated in the city centre in the grounds of Manchester Cathedral, in the Medieval Quarter opposite Harvey Nichols and Selfridges department stores, a 2 minute walk from the Printworks Complex. The Manchester wheel is just yards away in Exchange Square. Continental cafe culture is rife in this area and both Premiership football clubs are within 3.5 km (2 miles) of the hotel. Outside the hotel there is a free shuttle bus which allows you to commute around the city. The hotel is steeped in history, dating back to Georgian times. We are said to have our own friendly ghost, not seen by all, but seen by many. The Mitre is renowned for its friendly staff who will enable any guest to feel at ease at our hotel. A great location for the football or just to shop. The Mitre Hotel offers 32 comfortable rooms and is accredited with 3 diamonds by the AA. The hotel does not have a lift.
