The hotel name dates from centuries ago when the oldest part of the building was used as the collecting house for the tithes gathered from 100 districts in the county. The premises have now grown to a 27 bedroom hotel offering a high standard of accommodation together with banqueting and conference facilities. Civil weddings and wedding receptions are a speciality. The restaurant is renowned for offering the best choice of locally farmed produce and is open for lunches 7 days a week.

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 3 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All older children or adults are charged GBP 15.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 3.
