Hotel details

The building is grade 2 listed, was built in the 17th Century and was a rarity then as a Temperance Hotel. Originally a coaching Inn on the route from London to Holyhead. Named The Feathers Temperance Hotel, it remained a Temperance Hotel until 1950's. It was used as a local Snooker Hall and when it was converted to what is now The Central Hotel, 18 full sized snooker tables were removed from the premises. It was also the local place to attend Tea Dances in the Tudor Room of the Hotel in the 40's/50's.
