We offer the friendliness and service of a private hotel with the benefits and expertise of a larger operation. The Hotel is now part of the Seamanor group, owned and managed as an Ayrshire business. We have single, twin room, double and family rooms, all with en-suite facilities. We can also offer facilities for weddings, special functions and conferences.

Travel information

Directions from Glasgow: Head for Kilmarnock on the m77/a77 South. At the junction with the a76 take the second exit, signposted Dumfries. Auchinleck is about 8 miles south on the a76. Directions from the South: Head for Ayrshire on the A76 from Dumfries. Auchinleck is just north of Cumnock. Before Cumnock, stay on the A76 taking the bypass north towards Kilmarnock. Come back into Auckinleck from the North end of the bypass and the Railway Hotel is on the left hand side.

Hotel policies

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

VAT is included.  Service charge is included.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Full English breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 1 year stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  There is no capacity for extra beds/cots in the room.  

Please note that in case specific policies apply to a particular room or rate, the specific room/rate policy prevails over the general hotel policy
