Woolpack InnRich in historic character and traditional charm, this stone-built coaching inn originally dates back to the 1500s and today offers comfortable en suite rooms and delicious food. In the charming Somerset village of Beckington, 11 miles (18 km) south of Bath and just 3 miles (5 km) from Frome, the Woolpack Inn offers a warm welcome and a relaxing stay with that little touch of luxury. The inn offers delicious freshly prepared dishes, include game from the local shoot and fish delivered daily from Brixham. The bar serves fine traditional ales and has a stone floor and a large open log fire for those cold winter days. The courtyard garden is a great spot in which to relax in the warmer months. There are 11 en suite rooms, including one four-poster room, one feature room and one large family room. All rooms are tastefully furnished, unique in design and have telephones, TVs, hairdryers and tea/coffee making facilities.

The inn offers a number of options for drinking and dining. The bar area has a stone floor and a roaring log fire and the Garden Room leads through to the courtyard garden. If you are looking for something a little more formal, the Oak Dining Room fits the bill. Relax and enjoy the ambience of this stylish venue. The inn offers a menu that is packed with a mouth-watering selection of freshly prepared dishes, from light lunches and afternoon teas to intimate candlelit dinners. During the summer months, you can dine alfresco in the secluded, walled courtyard garden.

Reservations for Friday and Saturday nights must be for a minimum of 2 nights.

By Car (from Bath and the A36) - From the A36, turn right at junction with the A361 (by the Texaco petrol station) and follow the signs towards Beckington. - Follow the road into village and the Woolpack Inn is on the left-hand side.

The surrounding area is steeped in history and provides a host of sightseeing opportunities in the shape of stone circles and ancient barrows. Just 11 miles away, the magnificent city of Bath is excellent for shopping and the World Heritage Site of the Roman Baths is well worth a visit. Salisbury, Glastonbury and Longleat Park are just a short drive away.

Please note, if cancelled, modified or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

The total price of the reservation will be charged on the day of booking and is non-refundable. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

17.5 % VAT is included.  Service charge is included.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Full English breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 12 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1.
