Those who have heard of
the evocative places of ancient Rome, know where to find Gian
Lorenzo Bernini's “Pulcin della Minerva”. Composed of a small
obelisk carried by a minute elephant, this sculpture is an exquisite
mix of Egyptian crafts and Baroque style.
The Grand Hotel de la
Minerve's setting is one of the city's most fascinating squares,
located between the Pantheon and the Church of “Santa Maria Sopra
Minerva”. In this enchanting setting in the heart of historical
Rome, in a prime location close to the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, the
Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps, rises the Grand Hotel de la
Minerve, which has been a hotel since the end of the 1700's.
The five-star deluxe
hotel - recently upgraded to better satisfy the needs of its
demanding clientele – comes complete with 21st century amenities and
offers 135 Rooms including Superior, Deluxe, Junior Suites and
Suites. The grand hall is a breathtaking sight for guests visiting
the hotel for the first time, as well as for those who visit
frequently. A fitness area with cardio-fitness equipment is
exclusively available for guest use.
The "La Cesta"
Restaurant serves Italian and international cuisine. During the
summer months guests may dine in the spectacular “Roof Garden”, from
which the Grand Hotel de la Minerve offers an incomparable view.
Here a delicious summer dinner is an excellent opportunity to enjoy
the day's last light and to delight in one of the spectacular
sunsets that only the Roof Garden can offer, to the romantic
accompaniment of the notes of a grand piano.
The "Le Cupole" bar,
located next to the hall offers guests a wide range of wines and
liquors. Seated in this relaxing and discreet setting one's gaze
naturally falls upon Rinaldi's magnificent and imposing marble
statue of the Minerva, set in the central niche of the hall.
