Situated
in Corrubbio, in the heart of the Valpolicella area and only 7 km
from the centre of Verona, Byblos Art Hotel Villa Amistà offers a
unique and evocative setting with all the characteristics of a
classical Venetian-style Villa. The large building, featuring a 15th
century façade by Michele Sanmicheli, had been abandoned for some
time before being carefully renovated..
The villa has now been the object of
meticulous historical refurbishment, both in terms of the
architecture and the paintings and décor. Restoration has been
carried out on the central and most monumental part of the villa and
also on the two towers, the church and the farm buildings.
The extensive gardens offer an evocative setting, with fountains, a
swimming pool and a health spa (Dominique and Henri Chenot
Institute).
Inside,
there is a large hall dominated by a Venetian chandelier and other
rooms with elaborate ceiling decoration and murals. There are also
three conference rooms, three dining areas where it is possible to
enjoy exquisite cuisine (one of which is outdoors) and a large
cellar for wine-tasting.

Each hotel room has its own personal
style with different and unique furnishings and each offers a cosy
and welcoming atmosphere. In every area of the hotel one can enjoy
the contrast of the 17th century Baroque style with the modern
design, merging perfectly thanks to the inventiveness of the famous
architect Alessandro Mendini. The hotel rooms have mini-bar, LCD
television, satellite television linkup, pay-TV, safe deposit boxes,
fast internet lines and autonomous air-conditioning.
The Restaurant Atelier is also very
pleasurable in the summer, thanks to the striking terrace in the
internal courtyard. The chef, Luca Mazzola offers creative cuisine
exploiting the flavour and characteristics of regional specialties
as well as international dishes. Here nothing is left to chance,
from the tablecloths to the china and silverware; furthermore the
exquisite service
Peter's Bar is an unique setting with
a refined atmosphere, where cocktails and delicious snacks,
accompanied by pleasant piano music.
In our wine cellar, three hundred
labels have been carefully selected and placed in the fourteenth
century wine cellar, which harmoniously combines traditional
furniture with design components and works of contemporary art.
